Balmain Extractor Fan Installation

Fitting an extractor fan properly means more than cutting a hole in the ceiling.

Fan sizing. Matched to the room's volume, since an undersized fan just runs constantly without clearing the air.

Timer switching. Set to run a chosen number of minutes after the light goes off, so the room clears without anyone remembering to switch it off.

Humidity sensor control. Fans that detect moisture and switch on automatically, useful where timer control isn't practical.

A lot of Balmain's original terrace bathrooms were built in an era before mechanical ventilation was standard practice, relying entirely on a small window to clear steam.
